Ronnie DioThe music channel VH1 will pay tribute to Ronnie James Dio for all Latin America: the program will be repeated ‘ That Metal Show ‘, which stars the singer had died last Sunday because of a stomach cancer.

It will be Thursday at 21, and will repeat on Saturday 20 and Sunday at 16. The program is reviewing the history and present of the great heavy rock.

Roonie James Dio was born in New Hampshire in 1942, came into the world of music with his own group, Elf, and then joined Rainbow, the band of guitarist Ritchie Blackmore of Deep Purple.

Later, came into Black Sabbath in 1980 to replace Ozzy Osbourne, this band recorded the classic ‘Heaven and Hell’ and ‘Mob Rules’. Then in 1983 he formed his solo band, Dio , with which he continued to have throughout the years, with brief intervals of Black Sabbath meetings (most recently called Heaven and Hellfor legal reasons).
