One other sad news by: Ronnie James Dio , one of the leading figures of heavy metal vocals, died yesterday at 67 years of age.
His wife, Wendy Dio , confirmed that “ today has broken my heart. Ronnie died in 0745 in the morning . ” He was suffering from stomach cancer last November and was being treated at a hospital in Houston, Texas.
‘ Many, many friends and family could say goodbye in private before she died in peace“said Wendy Dio.
Born in New Hampshire in 1942, He entered the music world with his own group, Elf, and then joined a Rainbow, the band of guitarist Ritchie Blackmore of Deep Purple.
Later, came into Black Sabbath in 1980 to replace Ozzy Osbourne, this band recorded the classic “Heaven and Hell” and “Mob Rules”. Then in 1983 he formed his solo band, Dio , with which he continued to have through the years, with brief intervals of meetings of Black Sabbath (Heaven and Hell called recently for legal reasons). RIP.

The music channel VH1 will pay tribute to Ronnie James Dio for all Latin America: the program will be repeated ‘ That Metal Show ‘, which stars the singer had died last Sunday because of a stomach cancer.
It will be Thursday at 21, and will repeat on Saturday 20 and Sunday at 16. The program is reviewing the history and present of the great heavy rock.
